WVMA Informed Consent Informational Meetings

Veterinarians need to examine their client communication procedures to be sure they are in compliance with the new rule on informed consent. The informed consent bill became rule the end of August 2008 and was published and effective on November 1, 2008.

Pam Stach, prosecuting attorney for the Department of Regulation and Licensing will be the presenter. She will make a presentation on informed consent and record keeping and then be available for questions and answers.

To help members and the clinic staff understand the new rule, the WVMA is hosting 5 educational sessions around the state.
These sessions will take place in the following locations:
