This program will offer the small animal clinician an advanced level introduction to diagnostic ultrasound of important “small parts” including scanning routine, basic measurements and image optimization. Additionally ultrasound guided tissue sampling techniques will be introduced.
Four hours of lectures will cover abdominal and cervical small organ sonographic anatomy and scanning routine for both dogs and cats as well as techniques for ultrasound guided tissue sampling. Four hours of hands on opportunities will be provided on normal dogs and tissue sampling phantoms.
Prerequisite for this course: Participants should have basic ultrasound techniques experience.
