Discussion Regarding PCR Mastitis Pathogen Test - Baraboo

Dr. Mike Wolf of Country Doctors Veterinary Practice in Menomonie, Wisconsin will serve as the meeting facilitator. A PowerPoint presentation will outline basic facts about the Contagious Panel and Complete Panel tests that AgSource offers. How the test works, what research has been conducted to date, and how this test compares to traditional plate culturing will all be explained. Kevin Foth, a microbiologist with Thermo Fisher, the company providing PCR equipment and kits, will be on hand to explain the science of the assay. AgSource field staff and laboratory staff will also be in attendance.


Three meetings are planned around the state. They will take place in Appleton, Menomonie and Baraboo on the evenings of July 11, 12 and 13. A complementary dinner will be served and RSVPs requested.
