The Art & Science of Urinalysis
Hits : 336

Despite advances in automation for in-clinic analyzers, urinalysis remains a time-consuming, manual procedure highly dependent upon the skill and knowledge of the individual performing the test as well as the clinician interpreting the results. An understanding of how collection method, storage conditions and pathologic changes can affect results is paramount to reaching an accurate interpretation and making sound clinical decisions.

Using preserved urine sediments and case data, this lecture and wet-lab will enhance your urinalysis microscopic and interpretive skills and help you avoid the common pitfalls of the urinalysis procedure. Projected images and instructor-led and paired microscopy will give you a hands-on experience at identifying formed elements in clinical samples.
