Small Animal Behavior Conference
Hits : 542

Participants attending this conference will come away with expanded knowledge and skills that will allow them to recognize behavioral cues such as fear and anxiety while interpreting the impact of their own body language.

Through demonstrations and case studies, attendants will learn key steps to solving behavioral problems; compare tools available for modifying behavior; master the “learn to earn” technique to establish a partner pet relationship; and analyze training protocol failures in order to design an effective behavior modification protocol.

Animal care experts and veterinary hospital teams will be able to modify their patients’ interactions to ensure positive associations by learning how to handle anxious pets, making changes to the hospital environment that reduce the risk of pet-related injuries, and recognize when to look to behavioral modifying drugs. Overall, this course will allow participants to provide better behavioral care for their feline and canine patients, with the added benefit of engendering client trust and loyalty.
